BJP terms Robert Vadra's land dealing as huge scandal

New Delhi, April 28 (ANI): BJP spokesperson, Nirmala Sitharaman, on Monday said that her party would continue to question the issue of land dealings, which involves Congress party president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, Robert Vadra till Sonia and Rahul Gandhi come clean on it. The Wall Street Journal in an article claimed that in 2012 Vadra sold more than 72 crore rupees of property and he still held real estate valued at 252 crore rupees. The BJP termed it as a massive scandal which resulted in injustice to many people of Haryana and Rajasthan. Sitharaman also questioned Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi's silence on the matter.

New Delhi, Apr 12 (ANI): BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitaraman hits out at Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi on Saturday after former media adviser to Prime Minister, in his book stated that Gandhi undermined Singh’s power. BJP defends Narendra Modi over his marital status, attacks Rahul

New Delhi, April 11 (ANI): BJP leader Nirmala Sitaraman on Friday clarified that the party's PM candidate Narendra Modi has never lied about his marital status in any of his nomination affidavits. NCW questions Modi over not disclosing wife's details in earlier polls

Mumbai, April 10 (ANI): National Commission for Women ( NCW) member Nirmala Samant on Thursday asked why Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi did not disclose details about his wife in previous elections. Samant also said that it very unfortunate that the wife of Modi, who has taken up the cause of women in India, was deprived of property, maintenance and her rights. It is being reported that Modi in his poll affidavit, which he filed on Wednesday from Vadodara, has written the name of 'Jashodaben' in the column of spouse. It was also reported that since 2001, Modi have been leaving the column blank whenever he filed his form for election. In his rallies too, Modi has claimed to be 'single' and unmarried.

Pramod Muthalik's BJP membership cancelled within hours

New Delhi, March 23 (ANI): BJP Spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday confirmed that Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik's membership is cancelled after the central BJP instructed the same to the state party. She said that the party felt strongly about the same and therefore have taken this action. Earlier, party leader and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had also expressed objection over the decision. Muthalik had courted a huge controversy in 2009 after members of his Sri Ram Sene carried out an attack on a pub in Mangalore during which young women were dragged out. NCW welcomes court's verdict in Mumbai telephone operator gang rape case

New Delhi, March 20 (ANI): The National Commission for Women on Friday welcomed a sessions court's decision to give life term to four convicts of the Mumbai telephone operator gang rape case, three of whom are also accused of raping a photojournalist in the same compound in July last year. New Delhi, March 18 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday termed the report published online by Australian journalist Neville Maxwell on the Indo-China War in 1962, as yet another proof of clear lapses in defence preparedness by the then Congress Government of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. A section of the confidential Henderson Brooks report that critically reviewed India's defence preparedness and strategies during the 1962 war with China has been released online by Maxwell. While the report may not contain significantly new revelations about the poor state of India's forces during the war, it discusses "how the army was ordered to challenge the Chinese military to a conflict it could only lose," according to Maxwell, a retired foreign correspondent, who was based in Delhi at the time of the war.
