Poonch, Nov 29 (ANI): Deputy Inspector General of Police Danish Rana said in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir said that militants are preparing to infiltrate along the disputed border of the state. While attending an event on Thursday to commemorate the death of a soldier on the border, Rana said that the militants may have shifted their attention to Kashmir and the cases of infiltration might increase following the retreat of US forces from Afghanistan. Shahsrang celebrates various genres of Kashmiri Sufiyana, folk music and Kashmiri light music. The festival includes grand cultural show presented by renowned Kashmiri artists. Shahsrang focuses on the traditional use of mystic poetry, the songs of yearning and remembrance of history that have fashioned Kashmir s folk music into an essential repository of memory and faith. A number of music lovers were seen enjoying the mystic musical performances by various Kashmiri artistes. The defining feature of the society of Jammu and Kashmir is Sufism. The event not only showcased the culture and traditions of the region but also aimed to create awareness about the region, its prospects and potentials. The festival was organised by Trend MMS, with support from the eight northeastern states, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of DoNER. As part of the event there were discussions on security, tourism opportunities, employment options and various other issues that affect people of the region. Boxing icon MC Mary Kom from Manipur and star Adil Hussain from Assam attended the event.
