Dalai Lama calls for social equality to uphold world peace

New Delhi, Nov 21 (ANI): Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness, The Dalai Lama called for social equality to uphold world peace while speaking at World Hindu Congress meet in New Delhi on Friday, which aims at uniting the society across the globe. The Dalai Lama said that war and violence are created by man, which needs to be stopped. Hailing the teachings and the values of the Hinduism, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat said that Hinduism preaches to rise in all walks of life, which will help to bring equality in the society. The conference is being attended by about 1,500 delegates from 40 countries of the world. BJP pulls up Lalu for calling PM Modi 'NRI'

New Delhi, Nov 19 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday hit back at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a Non Resident Indian, saying there is no need to take any advice from a person who is outside jail at the moment and challenging his conviction. Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Modi's ongoing three-nation visit, Lalu had earlier on Tuesday quipped that the former had become a Non Resident Indian. He also lashed out at the BJP-led government's promise to bring back black money stashed in safe havens abroad within 100 days of coming to power. Theatre festival concludes with fanfare in Bhubaneshwar

Bhubaneswar, Nov 7 (ANI): Theatre artists from across the country converged in Odisha to take part in a five-day national theatre festival. The festival, Purva Ranga, or 'Colours of the East', which is concluding today, attracted many spectators to Bhubaneswar city. President of Odisha Natya Sangh, Dhira Mallik, said that they had organised this festival with an aim to portray artists on national level. The festival was organised by Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy under the aegis of state tourism and culture department in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata. A director of Amateur Theatre Group, Mushtaq Kak, said that youth taking up theatre should come with a clean mindset as they are only keen to join silver screen actors rather than being natural artists.
