New Delhi, Sep 11 (ANI): A clutch of right-wing Hindu groups protested against a Pakistani lifestyle exhibition 'Aalishan Pakistan' on Thursday demanding its cancellation on the grounds that such events cannot go hand-in-hand with Islamabad's support to militant activities in India. Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena had written to Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Police Commissioner to call off the four-day event. Police detained the protesters as they shouted slogans outside the exhibition venue. President of Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena, Jai Bhagwan Goyal, said that one-sided friendship should end. Udhampur, Sep 07 (ANI): Floods, triggered by heavy downpour, in Jammu and Kashmir continued to wreak havoc on Sunday and lead to suspension of trains and blocking national highway due to mudslide. Pilgrims to sacred holy cave of Vaishno Devi were stranded as Katra region-bound Shri Shakti Express train was stuck for hours at Ramnagar railway station in Udhampur district. A passenger, Vinod Bansal said authorities were not providing any information on the movement of the train. Another passenger, Bagish Goyal said the authorities suddenly announced termination of the train without providing any alternative. Nearly 100 people have been killed due to floods in Kashmir as rivers in the region flowed above the danger mark due to incessant rains. Australian PM Tony Abbott arrives in Delhi, to meet PM Modi & Foreign Minister

Mumbai/ New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on Thursday arrived in national capital Delhi while on his two-day visit to India. Abbott was received by Power Minister Piyush Goyal and other dignitaries at the airport. He is scheduled to meet India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. Earlier, while attending an event at Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai, Abbott said that cricket brings people together. The event also saw the gracious presence of former Australian cricketers, Brett Lee and Adam Gilchrist, and former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
