New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday felicitated the medal winners from the recently-concluded Asian Games. The 17th edition of the Asian Games was held in Incheon, South Korea, from September 19 to October 4. Later, in a tweet, the PM also lauded their feats saying they are truly 'India's pride'. Sports ministry felicitates Asian games medalists

New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Sports ministry felicitated medal winners of 17th Asian Games which were held in Incheon. India won a total of 57 medals at the 17th Asiad, which includes 11 gold, 10 silver and 36 bronze and stood eighth in the overall medals tally. Sports Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, congratulated all participants of the Asian Games and said it was a proud moment for the country. Meanwhile, woman boxer, MC Mary Kom, whose win provided India its first gold medal in the ring at Incheon, thanked the ministry for having faith in her. Captain of men's hockey team, Sardar Singh, urged the ministry to keep providing required assistance to sportspersons.
