Srinagar, June 15 (ANI): Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, who is currently on a two-day visit to Srinagar, on Sunday said that violations along the Line of Control or LoC must stop and that in itself was a 'Confidence Building Measure'. Jaitley claimed that he was quite optimistic about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. His comments came in the wake of a special security review meeting in Srinagar to discuss internal security, the situation along the LoC and arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu, among other issues. Srinagar, June 14 (ANI): Defence Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday visited Raj Bhavan in Srinagar; a day after ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) was reported. Jaitley is on a two-day visit to the state and will be reviewing the security situation with the state government and senior military officials. Reacting on the recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan, Jaitley said that the Indian Army is capable enough to counter such attacks. On Friday, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by targeting Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir with heavy firing, drawing retaliation by Indian forces. The four-day musical concert 'Tashi Delek Concert'is organised by a newly formed Tibetan organisation, 'Himalayan International Traditional Arts' (HITA) from Japan and it will be held from 29th of June to 2nd of July in India's northern Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir province, inviting all prominent young musicians from the entire Himalayan region. Spokesperson of HITA, Tsering Dicky, said that the agency is formed by a Tibetan musician based in Japan with an aim to promote Tibetan and Himalayan artists.
