Exiled Tibetans in India expect Obama, Modi to discuss their cause

Dharamsala, Jan 25 (ANI): Exiled Tibetans in Dharamsala expected US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to nudge China to resolve the vexed Tibet issue. Obama arrived with his wife Michelle on Sunday and were greeted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the tarmac of the airport in New Delhi as they came down the steps from Air Force One. Tibetans living in-exile hoped that both the countries can influence China to resolve the decades old problem. Tibetans in Tibet and in other parts of China have in recent years been protesting against Chinese rule by setting themselves on fire after pouring petrol over themselves. Meanwhile, director of Students for a Free Tibet (SFT), Dorjee Tseten, said Obama-Modi meeting was of great importance for them.
