BSF foils infiltration bid along International Border in Kathua, intruder killed

Kathua, July 22 (ANI): BSF foiled an infiltration bid and killed an intruder along the International Border (IB) in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Jawans of the 68 Battalion of BSF challenged and opened fire on the infiltrators, killing one of them on the spot. BSF troops launched a search operation and recovered body of an unarmed intruder. This is the second infiltration attempt along the IB in less than a week. On Thursday night, the BSF had thwarted an intrusion bid in Suchetgarh sector of Jammu district. Jul 22, 2014

The explosives were recovered following the cross-border firing which started on July 16 when Pakistani side targeted an Indian post in RS Pura sector in which a soldier died and three others were injured.
