'Badmashiyaan' star cast promotes film in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jan 29 (ANI): Star cast of Bollywood's upcoming romantic-comedy 'Badmashiyaan' promoted their film in Mumbai. This film features newbie's including Suzanna Mukherjee, Karan Mehra, Gunjan Malhotra and Sidhant Gupta. The film also marks the second innings of Bollywood actor Sharib Hashmi, who earned much critical acclaim for his last film 'Filmistaan'. 'Badmashiyaan' chronicles the life of a girl, portrayed by Mukherjee, whose dream is to marry a Hashmi said that though every film has its own fate but he hoped people will love it the same way as his last movie. Kalyan Singh sworn in as Governor of Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Jan 29 (ANI): The governor of Rajasthan, Kalyan Singh took additional charge as the governor of Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court, Mansoor Ahmed Mir gave oath of office as the 26th governor of Himachal Pradesh. Speaking to media in Shimla's Raj Bhawan, he said that he is pleased to follow the orders of the President Pranab Mukherjee. He also said that he has an emotional bonding with the state of Himachal Pradesh and would discharge the duty as governor of the state. The President has earlier this month asked Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh to discharge the functions of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, till further orders. New Delhi, Jan 26 (ANI): US President Barack Obama along with First Lady Michelle Obama on Monday attended the "At Home" Reception, which was hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The reception was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, and Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Major Mukund Varadarajan, Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh posthumously awarded Ashok Chakra

New Delhi, Jan 26 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee presented the prestigious Ashok Chakra award to the families of Major Mukund Varadarajan and Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh on the 66th Republic Day here on Monday. The Republic Day celebrations started with the unfurling of the national flag by the President. Thereafter, the national anthem was played and President Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Barack Obama and Vice President Hamid Ansari and other dignitaries paid respect to the tri-coloured flag. The Ashok Chakra award, which was conferred to Major Mukund Varadarajan and Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh posthumously, is given for the 'most conspicuous bravery or some daring or pre-eminent valour or self-sacrifice' other than in the face of the enemy.
