Bhilai, June 13 (ANI): At least six people including two deputy general managers, were killed and over 40 reportedly injured due to a leakage in a methane gas pipeline at a water pump house in the Bhilai steel plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, Steel Minister Narendra Singh Tomar expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident and ordered a high-level probe. According to BSP officials, critically injured employees have been admitted to plant's hospital at Sector 9 where the condition of at least 11 were reported to be serious. Jun 13, 2014

Patna/ Vadodara, June 13 (ANI): In wake of intense heat, zoo authorities across India made special arrangements for the animals and birds and installed coolers to help them cope with scorching heat. In an effort to provide cool shelters to birds, jute bags have been placed on cages on which water is sprayed periodically, so that the enclosures remain cool. A visitor to Sanjay Gandhi Zoological Park in Patna city of Bihar, Mohammed Mustaq, said special steps have been taken by the zoo authorities to provide them with summer comfort. Seventh body recovered from Beas river, search still on

Mandi, June 12 (ANI): Rescuers recovered a seventh body from the River Beas on Thursday. A search is still on to find the remaining 17 bodies from the river which had swept away 24 college students and a tour operator earlier this week. Meanwhile, a team of Navy officials visited the place and is likely to assist in rescue operations. More divers with latest equipments are also expected to join the search operations. The students, belonging to VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology in Hyderabad, were clicking photographs when they were swept away by the river after the officials released water from the Larji Dam located upstream.
