New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 240.50 points up to stand at 21,273.45. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 79.05 points up to stand at 6320.90.Max India and Future Retail were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 8.65% and 6.33% along with Unitech and Bank of India with an increase of 5.22% and 4.09% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Prestige Estates and Nestle India with a decrease of 3.45% and 2.49% along with Mcleod Russel and Amara Raja with a decrease of 2.49% and 2.45% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 153.91 points at 12,133.76 while the banking sector is up 185.70 points at 12,692.97 and the realty sector is up 17.90 points at 1,356.30.The Indian currency is down 0.15% at Rs 61.62 per dollar. No evidence was tampered with: Kejriwal on Somnath Bharti

New Delhi, Jan 14 (ANI): The Patiala House Court in 2013 had indicted Lawyer and AAP leader, Somnath Bharti for tampering with evidence along with his client Pawan Kumar in a corruption case. Speaking on the same, Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that they are ready to share the evidence which was found during their sting operation against the bank, and also added that no evidence was tampered with. The Congress and the BJP are demanding the lawyer-turned-minister's resignation. Kejriwal on the other hand has stood by his minister, calling the court observation completely wrong. Jan 14, 2014

Central government draws flak for lack of security in riot-hit Muzaffarnagar

New Delhi/ Muzaffarnagar, Jan 8 (ANI): BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu has blamed the central government and the UP government for playing vote bank politics by keeping national security at stake. The ruling Congress party confirmed on Tuesday that Pakistan based militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) had come in contact with several riot victims affected by the communal violence in state. Naidu called it a high security related issue and said instead of focusing on the problem, the governments are playing political games.
