Chicken Haleem Ingredients Boneless Chicken - 300 gms Boiled Yellow Lentil - 1 cup Cooked Broken Wheat - 1 cup Chopped Onion - 1 cup Ginger & garlic paste - 2 tsp Garam masala powder - 1 tsp Chilli powder - 2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Cumin powder - 1 tsp Coriander powder - 2 tsp Salt to taste Oil for cooking Method: 1. Heat oil in a pan, fry onions till golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon and spread on kitchen peeper to drain oil. When it is cool and crisp, crumble with hands and keep set aside. 2. In a large pot add 6 cups of water and wheat boil gently for about 30 minutes or more until very tender and soft. Remove from heat and keep set aside. 3. Grind boil yellow lentils and keep set aside. 4. Heat oil in a large pot add Ginger & garlic paste, Garam masala powder, Chilli powder, Turmeric powder, Cumin powder, Coriander powder, salt and saute 2 minutes, Now add boneless chicken pieces and grind yellow lentils. 5. Now add the cooked wheat and mix well. Do check the salt and add more if needed. 6. Let it simmer for at least 25-30 minutes and keep stirring between. Cook until mixture becomes thick. 7. Devotees throng temples on first Shravan Monday

Haridwar /Gorakhpur / New Delhi, July 14 (ANI): Thousands of devout Hindu thronged the temples of Hindu lord Shiva across the country and offered special prayers to mark the first auspicious Monday of month long 'Shravan' festival. The devotees gathered in large numbers offering milk, curd, ghee, honey and holy water to Lord Shiva in wee hours of morning. Long queues of people were waiting with assortment of religious offerings such as incense sticks, red vermilion and flowers. Pathak Sharma, a priest of the temple in Haridwar said on Monday that during the auspicious Shravan month pilgrims have to offer different forms of liquids to Lord Shiva for their wish-fulfilment. Poor monsoon adversely hits farmers

Amritsar, July 13 (ANI): Uncertain over progress of the delayed monsoons, farmers are adversely hit due to scanty rains, which raise concerns of a first drought in five years. Reportedly, on an average Punjab receives an annul rainfall of 580 mm of which about 80 per cent is confined to the months of June, July, August and September. Unfortunately, the monsoons are delayed this year and there has been no shower in recent time. A farmer, Jaipal Singh said that most of their working is dependent on the heavy downpour in the monsoon months. In order to maintain their crops, farmers have to use generator sets for irrigation. Adding to the farmer’s woe, Punjab Electricity Board has failed to provide them with uninterrupted electricity supply of 8 hours as promised. Farmers have to spend extra on diesel to run pumps. Congress protest against water and power shortage in Delhi

New Delhi, July 13 (ANI): Congress workers on Sunday staged protest over water and power shortage in Delhi's Ashok Vihar near Wazirpur village. The protest led by DPCC Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely, shouted anti-government slogans. The agitators sat on a grand dharna and thereafter burned effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
