Blast in Kashmir injures two soldiers

Baramulla, Oct 16 (ANI): Two soldiers were injured, on Thursday after militants triggered off a blast in Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. Militants detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), which was targeted towards an army convoy passing through Baramulla's Rafiabad area. The soldiers were rushed to an army hospital and the area was cordoned-off. A search operation has been launched in this regard. Oct 16, 2014

Kathua, Oct 15 (ANI): Continuous shelling has compelled the farmers of 57 border villages at the zero line along the India Pakistan border to leave their crop unreapened or cut it raw as they flee to safer places to save their lives. Since the beginning of October, Pakistan and India have been firing mortars and shells across the border, leading to the highest death toll in a decade among civilians on both sides. According to local media reports, more than 12 people have been killed and 64 others injured along the Line of Control (LoC) and the working boundary over the past two weeks in Kashmir. Farmers worry that they cannot reap the crop they have sown after investing huge amounts. Villagers say they are witness to the preparations by Pakistan for attacking the Indian border villages.
