Politicos react after EC announces dates for JandK polls

New Delhi/ Srinagar, Oct 25 (ANI): Political reactions flowed on Saturday after the Election Commission announced the dates for elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Panthers Party Chief Bhim Singh said that as far as democracy is concerned elections should take place. Meanwhile NC leader Junaid Mattu said that National Conference had opposed elections because it felt the people of Jammu and Kashmir are not ready for elections as the state but now that EC has announced dates the party will decide its course of action. New Delhi, Oct 25 (ANI): Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath on Saturday while addressing a press conference announced the dates for the assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand. He said that the elections will be held in five phases in both the states, with the first phase elections being held on 25th of November. He added that the first phase elections will also be held in the three assembly constituencies of New Delhi. Mir’s family members are clueless about the murder. His body was brought to his home on Friday. Rafiq was shifted to sub-district hospital in Bijbehara town where doctors declared him brought dead. The policeman, who was posted with IRP 12 battalion and posted at Mattan area in Anantnag district, was on leave and had reached home only Thursday, officials said.
