Nagaon, Aug 17 (ANI): Incessant rains have worsened the flood situation in Assam as the flood water has submerged around 50 percent of lower areas of the Kaziranga National Park in Nagaon district of the state. Fearing danger for the forest animals that they might get onto the National Highway (NH) if water level rises in the greens, Assam Environment and Forest Minister Rakibul Hussain launched 'Time Card' for vehicles plying from one end to the other of the park on NH 37. Uttarakhand CM says situation under control as rain wreak havoc in state

Dehradun, Aug 17 (ANI): Talking about the ongoing havoc created by incessant rain in Uttarakhand, state Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that the situation is under control and the government is doing all to provide possible help. Rawat said that people are coming for help in housing, water and education. He also confirmed that 22 lives are lost in the rain and expressed grief over the same. Indian scientist generates power from elephant urine

Kayamkulam, Aug 16 (ANI): A young Indian scientist, Dr MG Gireeshan, who explored the formula of generating power in Kayamkulam in Kerela, said that the urine of one elephant can produce enough electricity to serve a single household for four to five days. According to Gireeshan, elephant's urine is high in electrolyte. When the electrodes are inserted into the urine sample, it undergoes electrolysis generating power. An elephant produces 50 litres urine after consuming over 200 litres of water every day.The young scientist said he is willing to offer this technology to the benefit of the general public and provide it to any agency willing to develop it and also wants it to be patented in his name.
