BJP MLA calls for 'Love Jihad' Mahapanchayat, Politicos React

New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday react as BJP MLA Sangeet Singh Som has called for a Mahapanchayat in Uttar Pradesh to protest against Love Jihad. BJP leader Sambit Patra welcoming the MLA's step said that there is lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh and the BJP leaders are trying to solve the local problem in a local manner and creating awareness among the people against the same. Congress leader Manish Tewari said that such an act is very unfortunate and that the government of Uttar Pradesh needs to take action against such people and BJP needs to account for its MLAs. NCP leaders Majid Memon and Tariq Anwar condemning the act said that such hate speeches will only create differences among the people and that the BJP is only trying to play the vote bank politics in Uttar Pradesh. Disabled students demand equality from PM Modi on Teachers Day

Bhopal / Ahemdabad / Nagpur, Sep 05 (ANI): Visually impaired students in Gujarat on Teachers' Day demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should ensure equal social treatment and infrastructure so that disabled also get a chance to continue their education. The city got a talking ATM and blind friendly bank and cafeteria. Meanwhile, another student Shailesh said visually impaired students like him faced social discrimination. Students in Madhya Pradesh said they were excited to interact with the PM for the first time on Teacher's Day. A student, Neha Pandey, said she would urge the PM to solve issues like unemployment and poor sanitation in Bhopal. Vijay Mallya says will pursue all legal remedies as UBI declares him 'willful defaulter'

Bangalore, Sep 04 (ANI): Business Tycoon Vijay Mallya on Thursday said that he will pursue all legal remedies available to him even as state-run United Bank of India's (UBI) declares him 'willful defaulter'. This could be a blow to the former liquor baron who has been fending off banks from recovering money they once lent to his now defunct Kingfisher Airlines. A two judge bench of the top court on Tuesday summarily waived off Kingfisher's objections that its chairman Mallya was declared a "willful defaulter" by the United Bank of India's Grievance Redressal Committee without his lawyer being heard during the proceedings. Mallya also slammed state's decision to ban beverage/ alcohol and said that there is no reason to exclude alcohol industry from Goods and Services Tax.
