New Delhi, Nov 22 (ANI): Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri has said that New Delhi and Islamabad were very close to framework an agreement on the Kashmir issue during previous Congress-led regime in 2008. Kasuri is in Delhi to participate in Track-II dialogue that also involves Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar. Kasuri said that 80-90 percent of the issue was resolved through back channel during Manmohan Singh government. Leh, Nov 21 (ANI): Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh called for a comprehensive debate on special status to poll-bound Jammu and Kashmir granted in the Constitution. According to Article 370, the Indian government needs approval of Kashmir assembly to implement all other laws except for defence, foreign affairs, finance and communications. Singh said the ruling BJP would repeal the article, if the people of Jammu and Kashmir were ready. Singh alleged that Article 370 was impediment in development of the state. The BJP is banking on support in Hindu-dominated Jammu as well as in Buddhist Ladakh to pick up seats. The Election Commission of India has already announced the dates for assembly elections in Kashmir. The polls will be held in five-phases, beginning on November 25 and ending on December 20. The Dal Lake, which is one of the major tourist attractions in Srinagar, was seen deserted without visitors. Temperatures dipped as low as -1 degree Centigrade on Thursday morning (November 20). Maximum temperatures for the day were assumed to reach 15 degree Centigrade. A dense fog had enveloped roads of Srinagar, leading to poor visibility. Srinagar, Nov 20 (ANI): Visitors would soon get a visual treat as floriculturists are on the final stage of sowing tulip bulbs at Asia's largest Tulip Garden in Jammu and Kashmir, a prime attraction for tourists from around the world. Gardeners are working in tulip garden at Siraj Bagh and building a tulip bed. The garden is one of the major attractions, which was established in 2007.
