PM expects 5 % economic growth in 2013/14

New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said that India's economic growth in the current fiscal year is likely to remain flat at 5 percent. Singh's forecast is more optimistic than those of several private economists, who are predicting growth in the year till March 2014 to slip below 5 percent. Addressing the second day of the annual Diaspora Day in New Delhi, Singh said that international and domestic factors have contributed to the growth.
