Srinagar, Dec 07 (ANI): Army on Sunday said that the terrorists involved in the recent terror strikes in four towns of Jammu and Kashmir belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba group and were highly trained to carry special operations. Kashmir Valley was rocked by four attacks by terrorists from across the border who stormed an Army camp in Uri leaving 11 security personnel including a Lt Colonel dead and killed two civilians in Tral. New Delhi, Dec 7 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held a meeting with chief ministers of all the states to hear their views on the restructuring of the Planning Commission. The meeting was held at PM Modi's residence 7 Race Course Road in New Delhi. In the meeting, discussions took place on the structure and role of the new body that will replace the Planning Commission. However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah did not attend the meeting. The body of lieutenant colonel Sankalp Shukla, martyred in the deadly attack in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, reached Ranchi. Militants sneaked into an Indian military camp in Kashmir on Friday, killing 11 soldiers and police, the worst losses for security forces in six years in Jammu and Kashmir. New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Tourism and industrial promotion was the focus of Assam pavilion at the 34th India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. In tandem with the theme – 'Women Entrepreneurship', the Assam Pavilion showcased various entrepreneurial activities of the women of Assam and highlighted the contributions of those who have made a special mark in their respective fields. The various products put up on display at the Fair were Assam Tea, handloom products, Assamese jewellery, bamboo and cane products and ethnic foot items, most of which are led by women entrepreneurs. A large number of crafts persons and entrepreneurs from other northeastern states like Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur and Meghalaya also participated in the fair. Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhag pays tribute to martyrs in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 6 (ANI): Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag on Saturday paid tribute to martyrs who lost their lives in militant attacks that took place in Jammu and Kashmir. Suhag is also scheduled to take stock of the security situation in the state that was hit by terror attacks claiming the lives of 11 security personnel including a Lt Colonel. The Army Chief offered floral wreath to the martyrs and the Army personnel held the wreath laying ceremony in respect of the late jawans.
