Arun Jaitley adopts village under 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana' in Gujarat

Vadodara, Jan 11 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley adopted a village in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat on Sunday as part of 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'. The 'adopt-a-village' scheme aims to provide rural India with access to basic amenities and opportunities. On Sunday, while adopting Karnali village in Vadodara city, Jaitley interacted with the villagers and offered his prayers at village's ancient 'Kuber Bhandari' temple, which is visited by large number of devotees everyday. New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a rally at Ramlila Ground in New Delhi ahead of Assembly Polls in the capital state. Modi praised Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu for being informed about the capital state and initializing various reforms for development. He lauded his 'Jan Dhan Yojana' under which poor were able to open up their bank accounts and added a lot of amount to the country's GDP. Modi inaugurates 13th Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar, Jan 08 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 13th edition of'Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas' in Gandhinagar on Thursday. About 4000 NRIs from 58 countries are in the city to attend the annual fest that brings together members of the Indian diaspora to engage and discuss investing in India. Earlier he launched the 'Dandi Kutir', a unique exhibition depicting various stages of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi's life and work.
