Annie Leibovitz unveils Women: New Portraits exhibition

Renowned American photographer Annie Leibovitz unveiled her latest exhibition, which features portraits of women ranging from former Olympic champion and reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner, to comedian Amy Schumer, and Myanmars Aung San Suu Kyi, in London on 13 January. Honduras: Ancient White City artefacts removed from jungle

Archaeologists in the dense jungle of Honduras began extracting on 12 January dozens of artefacts from what is thought to be the mythical White City, a site where they believe twin cities from an ancient civilisation once thrived. The artefacts were unearthed at the site of an unknown civilisation which was discovered in 2012, in the eastern Mosquitia region of Honduras, about 200 miles northeast of the Honduran capital. Jakarta attacks: Multiple suicide bomb and gun attacks in Indonesian capital

Indonesian police say militants launched a gun and bomb assault in the centre of Jakarta on Thursday (14 January) followed by continuing gunfire and reports of further blasts.
