Kashmir flood victims await assistance to rebuild homes

Rajouri, Oct 30 (ANI): People continue to live in makeshift tents and are demanding compensation from the government, a month after the worst floods in a century hit Jammu and Kashmir. A resident, Mohammad Kabir, said they were concerned about their safety, especially children, as winters were approaching. Kabir said the government should take immediate measures to rebuild their houses and ensure regular water and power supply. The victims also complained that the government was not paying any heed to their losses and not issuing compensation for the same.
