New Delhi, Dec 23 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 195.33 points down to stand at 27,506.46. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 57.00 points down to stand at 8,267.00. GUJRAT GAS and EDELWEISS were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 17.92% and 6.19% along with PAGE INDUSTRIES LTD. and DCB BANK with an increase of 6.13% and 6.13% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include SCI and RASOYA PROTEINS LTD. with a decrease of 4.89% and 4.65% along with JAIN IRRIGATION SYSTEMS LTD. and VOLTAS with a decrease of 4.49% and 4.32% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 24.77 points at 18,585.69 while the banking sector is down 153.69 points at 21,301.93 and the reality sector is down 11.64 points at 1,502.73. Amit Shah praises PM Modi's foreign policy, says BJP against forceful religion conversion

Chennai, Dec 21 (ANI): BJP President Amit Shah on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his advanced foreign policy which led to improved relations between India and other foreign nations. He also said that under the government's 'Jan Dhan Yojana', many families have been able to open their bank accounts for easy financial transactions. He also said that BJP government was successful in bringing back the 5 Indian fishermen from Sri Lanka who were given death punishment. Shah then said that the government is against forceful conversion of religion and is ready to pass an anti-conversion bill in Parliament, but it is now up to the other secular parties to take a stand. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 129.50 points up to stand at 8,159.30. POLARIS and DCB BANK were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 15.87 % and 15.27% along with TORNT POWER and PAGE INDUSTRIES LTD. with an increase of 12.11% and 11.12% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include PMCFIN and RASOYA PROTEINS LTD. with a decrease 9.09% and 4.52% along with HATHWAY and GUJARAT MINERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LTD. with a decrease of 3.81% and 3.55% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 398.67 points at 18,416.80 while the banking sector is up 509.33 points at 20,987.38 and the reality sector is up 36.40 points at 1,510.81.The Indian currency is up 0.17% at Rs 63.17 per dollar.
