HCL MeTab G1 - Video Review

The HCL MeTab G1 has one big drawback - no access to the Google Play store. If the absence of the Play store doesn't bother you and you will side load your apps via the .apk installer, then you can consider this device, as the power under the hood is really good. The device is very smooth and didn't lag during multitasking. Watching videos on the display is nice but it is very reflective making usage under direct light a problem. There is also no SIM card slot. The 7000mAh battery on the device lasted for just over three hours during continuous video playback. The build of the device is good and it is comfortable to hold. Microsoft’s plan of promoting the Windows RT OS as the third major platform looks far fetched for now. The Redmond company have to reach out to more OEM clients to push Windows OS for their tablets.
