Reactions pour in as Japanese tourist allegedly gang raped for 12 days in Gaya

New Delhi, Jan 03 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Saturday after a Japanese tourist was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a Kolkata-based gang for 12 days in Gaya district of Bihar. The accused Zahir and Shahid were arrested by a joint team of Kolkata and Gaya Police. DCW Chairperson Barkha Shukla demanded for strict actions against the culprits. Social Activist Kiran Bedi said that the country is facing the challenge of protecting the tourists from vagabonds. Congress leader Girija Vyas appealed for stricter laws to increase safety of women. Mumbai 'Dabbawalas' join PM's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'

New Delhi/ Chennai/ Mumbai/ Varanasi, Dec 26 (ANI): The lunch box delivery men of Mumbai or 'dabbawalas' as they are called, hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for nominating them to join Clean Indian Mission. The dabbawalas are city's lifeline as the team of around 5000 people supply food to around 200,000 office goers every day. They carry hot food in lunch boxes from the houses of Mumbai residents late in the morning and deliver them at their workplace. The dabbawalas said they are honoured with the nomination and would do their best to ensure cleanliness around. PM Modi an educating and transformating leader: Kiran Bedi

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Former IPS Officer and Social activist Kiran Bedi on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on AIR and said that the PM is an educating and transformating leader. She said that the prime minister gave a very important message voicing concern over the 'devastating' drug addiction menace. After the third 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on radio in which Modi urged youths to shun drugs, Bedi urged the youth to use the national helpline and say no to drugs. Bedi said that the sale of drugs needs to be reduced as the money goes in the pockets of terrorists and ultimately becomes crime money.
