Hundreds of mannequin limbs block entrance to Russian embassy in protest of Aleppo air strikes

On 3 November activists from The Syria Campaign and Syria Solidarity UK blocked the entrance to the Russian Embassy in London to protest the bombing over Aleppo. Two activists chained themselves to the embassys gates, while a few dozen others have laid out 800 white mannequins limbs to represent the victims of the Russian and Syrian air strikes over the city. According to rights group Syrian Network for Human Rights, in October 2016 alone 1106 civilians were killed with 791 reportedly at the hands of the Assad regime and Russian forces. Nov 4, 2016

Theresa may blasts Fifa over ‘outrageous’ poppy ban

Theresa May has lambasted Fifa by branding the governing bodys poppy ban as utterly outrageous. The comments come as the Football Association (FA) attempt to get the ban lifted for the Armistice Day match between England and Scotland on 11 November. John Kerry to meet European foreign ministers in London to discuss Syria

US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in London to talk about Syria. He is meeting his counterparts from Germany, France and the UK to share “fresh ideas”.On Saturday, he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and ministers from Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.Kerry hopes the talks will lead to a ceasefire in the Syrian civil war.
