Politicos react after economists urge PM Modi not to dilute MGNREGA

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Politicos on Wednesday reacted after several leading economists urged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should not dilute MGNREGA which has provided economic security to millions of poor. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that if the government is concerned about the welfare of poor then it will not dilute MGNREGA. Congress leader Shobha Oza slamming the government said that the government is trying to break the beneficial schemes of UPA government. Canada foreign minister meets Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday and met his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj for a discussion on Canada-India relations to strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two countries. Baird also commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child at a school in the national capital. India and Canada were expected to discuss on the bilateral issues at the meeting, including matters related to security, defence, counter-terrorism, space and nuclear cooperation. Baird, who is on a five-day visit to India, is accompanied by Canadian International Trade Minister Ed Fast and National Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay among others.
