Kolkata, Sep 30 (ANI): BJP Chief Rajnath Singh took a jibe at the Congress party-led central government by contending that the country's poor masses need employment to liberate them and shouldn't be used as tools for garnering votes. Lambasting the Congress party for its policies, he said that in the period of 54 years of rule, it has created poor and then given it crutches for survival. Govt to launch new employment generation schemes: Jairam Ramesh

New Delhi, Sept 26 (ANI): Rural development minister, Jairam Ramesh said on Thursday that the government would soon launch new skilled development, employment generation schemes to replace current ones like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). The minister was launching the annual rural development scheme in New Delhi where he highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of the scheme. He said that it was not a permanent solution as the dynamics was changing in the rural India. Ramesh added government is also mulling to look into other initiatives for increasing skilled manpower in the country. Sep 26, 2013
