Two killed and 16 injured in terrorist bombing

At least two people have been killed and 16 others wounded in an explosion in the car park of a government building in the southern Turkish city of Adana, 40km from the eastern Mediterranean coast. A vehicle was ablaze outside the governors offices and black smoke was rising in the sky on 24 November. Omer Celik, minister of European Union affairs, said on Twitter the explosion was a terror attack with the Hurriyet newspaper reporting it was believed to be caused by a car bomb. Nov 24, 2016

Continued Cameroon protests sees security forces fire water cannons at students

Exclusive footage received by IBTimesUK shows security forces in Bamenda, Cameroon, firing water cannons at a student dorm to try to force them to lectures. The Cameroon Teachers Trade Union (Cattu) declared a sit-in strike on 22 November for teachers and students in the Northwest and Southwest, the two English-speaking regions of Cameroon. Independence calls in the regions have been intensifying since October 2016, when a group of English speaking lawyers took to the streets to protest against the use of French in courts and the lack of English versions of some legal acts and codes.
