Fire engulfs lift of residential building in Nagpur, kills five

Nagpur, May 23 (ANI): Fire broke out in the parking area of a residential building in Maharashtra on Friday and engulfed a lift, which left five members of a family dead. The incident took place at around 12.30 am in Nagpur city after vehicles parked in the basement of an apartment caught fire. Three women and two children were charred to death while they were in the lift to reach the ground floor. Dozens of fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the inferno. One of the residents, Kalyan, said the watchman was the first to raise an alarm. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

New Delhi/ Nagpur, May 14 (ANI): Political leaders on Wednesday condemned Giriraj Singh's remark wherein he asked why all terrorists belong to one community. Congress leader Meem Afzal and NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that it shows that BJP uses religion in everything and that Singh is an immature politician. JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that what Singh said shows the ideology of the BJP and RSS. RSS ideologue calls for slapping sedition charges against Farooq Abdullah

Nagpur, April 28 (ANI): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue Virag Pachpor on Monday termed National Conference (NC) chief, Farooq Abdullah's comments as objectionable, and said sedition charges must be filed against the latter. The RSS ideologue also added that electing one person as prime minister cannot break the nation, and instead, asked the National Conference chief to come forward and discuss developmental issues.
