SRK wants to represent India with beautiful films at Cannes

New Delhi, Oct 17 (ANI): Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan who was in Cannes to attend a big fat wedding recalled the time when he represented Indian cinema with Devdas in Cannes in 2002. "At Cannes after years memories come flooding back of Devdas. Insha Allah will come here to represent India with more beautiful films," Shah Rukh posted on Twitter. Devdas was screened at a special out-of-competition screening at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2002. Over the years, the presence of Indian films and celebrities has increased at the global film extravaganza, which is usually held in May every year. Oct 17, 2013

Sonali Kulkarni elated as The Good Road makes it to Oscars

Mumbai, Sept 28 (ANI): Bollywood actress Sonali Kulkarni recently expressed her excitement and bliss over her Gujarati film ‘The Good Road’ that was chosen as India’s entry to the 2014 Oscars. Expectations had also been high for Ritesh Batra’s “The Lunchbox”, an Indian-French-German co-production that won the Grand Rail d’Or at Critics’ Week at Cannes in May. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, one of the producers of “The Lunchbox”, had expressed his disappointment on Twitter. “… it goes to show, why we completely lack the understanding to make films that can travel across borders,” Kashyap said.
