It Happens: Rajasthan relives past glory at art exhibition on Anchor World Museum Day

Ajmer, May 23 (ANI): On the occasion of Anchor World Museum Day visitors, specially the youth, thronged to the ancient Ajmer Fort of Rajasthan to relive their ancient tradition and culture, in the two-day heritage exhibition. The heritage exhibition organized in the precincts of the ancient fort of Mughal Emperor Akbar in Naya Bazaar area of Ajmer was inaugurated by the south Ajmer legislator, Anita Bhadel. The curator, Himmat Singh Shekhawat, said that the two-day exhibition aims to promote the idea of restoring the past and understanding its importance in daily lives. Paintings by an eminent artist of Shivam Sharde Art Centre in Ajmer, Mamta Devada, were also displayed. Ancient Ajaipal temple, Dargah Sharif, Clock Tower, St. Anselm’s Church, the puicturesque places of Pushkar and the fort of Taragarh were portrayed through the artist’s 30 paintings. Devada said that the idea behind the exhibition was to make people aware of their rich culture and heritage. The crowds that thronged the ancient fort were proof that the venture was a grand success. BSE closes points 78.86 down on May 21

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 78.86 points down to stand at 24,298.02. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 22.60 points down to stand at 7,252.90. Essar Oil and IFCI were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 14.30% and 13.09% along with Torrent Power and MMTC with an increase of 12.24% and 11.33% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Hindustan Zinc and Adani Ports with a decrease of 4.16% and 3.96% along with Ultratech Cement Ltd. and Idea Cellular with a decrease of 3.58% and 3.36% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 71.31 points at 14,321.80 while the banking sector is down 184.51 points at 17,119.75 and the realty sector is up 34.13 points at 1,834.60.
