Reactions pour in after Kiran Bedi invokes President Obama's name during her election campaign

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): BJP leader Kiran Bedi on Tuesday used US President Barack Obama's India visit as an opportunity to impress the voters during election campaign for upcoming Delhi polls. While addressing an election rally, Bedi attributed the US President's high profile visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's diplomatic efforts. Congress leader Kiran Walia commenting on the incident said that Bedi tried to gain political benefit from Obama's visit. DCW Chairperson Barkha Shukla said that US President Barack Obama came for India and not for any political party. However, BJP's Delhi unit President Satish Upadhyay said that Obama's visit shouldn't be linked to the Delhi polls. Jan 27, 2015

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): The BJP's CM candidate in Delhi, Kiran Bedi on Tuesday moved the Election Commission against Arvind Kejriwal for using her photograph in the party's poster campaign without her permission. The party has recently put up posters on numerous auto-rickshaws plying in the national capital, asking the people of Delhi to choose between Kejriwal and Bedi for the post of chief minister. The posters features the picture of Kejriwal with the word "imandar" (honest) printed below it while Bedi’s picture says "avsarvadi" (opportunist). Reacting on the same, Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay demanded stern action against Kejriwal and said that the poll panel should reject his candidature. Jan 27, 2015

New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): Senior Journalist Nalini Singh was interrogated on Friday by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Delhi Police which is the sensational Sunanda Pushkar murder case. After the interrogation, Singh confirmed that she was questioned by the police. Divulging in details about her conversation with Sunanda, Singh said that deceased wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor had suspected Tharoor of having an affair with Pakistani Journalist Mehr Tarar. While talking on the IPL controversy, she said Sunanda had told her that she has taken all the blame on herself.
