Addressing a news conference in Bhubaneswar Naidu said that BJP will emerge as a winner in the world’s biggest election. Naidu said Congress party was losing candidates and attacked third front, saying it was nothing but a mirage. Oil extraction plant in Manipur provides employment to many

Manipur, April 6 (ANI): This is the first compact oil extraction and refinery plant in the northeastern region, set up by the SMART society under the Salai Agro Products Pvt. Ltd at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai in Imphal. The plant operates with international level advanced oil technologies and equipments. It has the capacity to process 5 tonnes of mustard oil per day and it plans to extract other oil seeds in the future. It aims to market its finished product outside the state and export it to other countries as well. At present, the plant is being managed by 4 skilled workers and employs several other workers on a daily wage basis. The SMART society, which was set up on 21st November 2008, is the brainchild of a few educated unemployed youths of the state. With encouragement from the society, farmers are now utilizing barren paddy fields to cultivate mustard and other commercial value oil seeds. Such small initiatives not only provide employment to many people but in the long run will also bring about agricultural and industrial growth in the state. Apr 6, 2014

Manipur's first milk processing plant comes as a boon to many

Manipur, April 05 (ANI): Manipur's Youth Volunteers' Union has set up the state's first milk processing plant at Thoubal Wangmataba with an aim to provide employment to the local unemployed youth. The plant, being run by the Youth Volunteer Union Milk Producer Company Ltd, will be the first to produce pasteurized and toned milk in the state. The construction of the processing plant, which includes a 5000 liter cold storage, was started in January last year and the plant has been producing pasteurized milk since December. The Youth Development Union has been undertaking developmental projects in the state with an aim to improve the lives of the underprivileged people by providing them employment opportunities. Raniganj, April 05 (ANI): In a bid to garner votes ahead of general elections, Trinamool Congress (TMC) President Mamata Banerjee, used 'star appeal' as Bollywood Actor Mithun Chakraborty, shared stage with her during a massive rally in Raniganj city of West Bengal. Chakraborty, who was recently elected as TMC leader to the upper house of the parliament, added spark to the rally. Taking a dig at CPI (M), Banerjee said the communist party drained coffers of the state government. Banerjee also accused the central government for not granting funds under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Generation Scheme, which ensures 100 days work for the unemployed rural people. The Prime Minister also said that there is no theme more important or for that matter politically more challenging to determine country's international security. He further added that the very first resolution of the first session of the United Nations General Assembly dealt with the issue of nuclear technology and the need to harness it for peaceful applications.
