Guwahati Schoolboy invents computer system ReVo Book

Guwahati, Feb 18 (ANI): An Indian tenth grade student launched a "ReVo Book" an ultra-slim virus-protected microchip-run computer system, a move that can transform traditional computing devices. Teenaged Afreed Islam from Guwahati's Little Flower School is the new kid on the block, his 'ReVo Book' is embedded with a microchip and a hybrid operating system. The design of the computer system has been developed by a German based firm which took up the project after knowing about Islam's innovation. New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Simon Cowell has claimed that his X Factor show is the "least racist show in the world". The 54-year-old music mogul slammed Chris O'Dowd's claim that the viewers of his show are "racist" as they vote black singers off the contest early each year. Cowell sites the example of Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis, and made digs at the Irish comic saying that it's not only "ignorant" but actually "insulting" to hear him say that to the audience. Kerala, Feb 14 (ANI): Devotees thronged the ten-day long famed temple festival, 'Attukal Pongala', to seek blessings of Hindu goddess, 'Attukal Devi', and to see majestic elephants decorated with ornaments for a procession in Thiruvananthapuram city of India's God's own country, southern Kerala province. The festival witnessed 11 richly caparisoned elephants, decorated with gold ornaments, and divided into two groups in the Attukal temple premises, amid drumbeats and frenzied shouts of devotees. Elephants form a major part of religious festivals in Kerala. In this annual festival, women from all walks of life, gather at the temple and perform a ritual of offering rice cooked in earthen pots to seek the blessings of the goddess.
