Lt. Governor announces compensation to Vasant Kunj slum residents

New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): Following a major fire in Vasant Kunj slum which burnt almost 1100 huts, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung visited the site and announced compensations to the aggrieved. He said that nearby SDMs should be deployed in the area and Jal Board to be alerted for more water in the region. He also announces establishing a kitchen and tents which will be up by the evening. New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung gave a nod to the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government's recommendations for a probe by Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the 1984-anti Sikh riots. Speaking over the decision senior lawyer of Delhi High Court H.S Phoolka said under the SIT probe, all those cases which were closed or shown untraced would be re-opened, re-investigated and if the need arises fresh FIRs would be registered.
