Former Israeli leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner Shimon Peres dies aged 93

Peres served twice as Labour prime minister as well as serving in a dozen cabinets and being knighted by the Queen. He shared the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize with the late former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin and late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat for reaching an interim peace deal in 1993, which never turned into a lasting treaty. Sadiq Khan: Labour not just talking the talk, but walking the walk

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, spoke to the Labour conference in Liverpool on 27 September saying that now the leadership contest was over they needed to concentrate on getting into power. In his speech he congratulated Jeremy Corbyn on his re-election, but made sure his message of Labour needing to be in power to make change was heard by party members. Sep 27, 2016
