Kanpur, Sep 06 (ANI): A 20-year-old mechanical engineering student at Government Polytechnic College in Kanpur committed suicide in his hostel room after allegedly being ragged and beaten up by his seniors. The student was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his hostel room by his roommate. The deceased student's brother, Pradeep Vishwakarma said that this certainly is a case of ragging and blamed the college authorities for the same. Meanwhile, a co-student said that the deceased was beaten by the senior and that he didn't attend the class for two days in their fear. The police and forensic team have started investigation into the case. An FIR has been filed against two senior students- Karan and Vijay- as well as other unidentified students after a complaint was filed by the brother of the deceased. New Delhi, August 31 (ANI): Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji says she would like to do a show like talk show queen Oprah Winfrey. When asked if she would like to emulate her friend and co-star Aamir Khan and venture into TV, she said "I hope that happens too. I am open to everything. I would like to do a show like Oprah Winfrey who tackles people from different walks of life. (When) different people will come and talk, that would make a good show." The actress, who is flooded with compliments for her performance in Mardaani, says the biggest compliment was for her action scenes, which looked real.
