Flight MH17 was shot down by Russia-made missle say prosecutors

International prosecutors say the Malaysian airliner that was shot down in eastern Ukraine on 17 July 2014 was hit by a Russian-made Buk Missile, launched from rebel-held territory. All 298 people on broad the flight were killed when the flight was shot down while heading to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam. Boris Johnson: Syria conflict is a proxy war not a civil war

UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said the conflict in Syria is now a proxy war instead of a civil war and called on the sponsors of the Syrian regime to bring Assad back to the negotiating table. Speaking outside the UN Security Council meeting in New York, he said there were only two possible culprits for the deadly attack on the aid convoy on September 19th; Syria or Russia, but said he was still hopeful a ceasefire could be negotiated. Russias Republic of Chechnya voted overwhelmingly in favour of regional president Ramzan Kadyrov. The Chechen leader won 98 percent of the vote in elections that did not meet international standards. Russian opposition claims election was not free and fair

Former prime minister and Russian opposition leader of the Parnas party, Mikhail Kasyanov, has claimed that the vote in the parliamentary elections was not a free and fair vote. Russias liberal opposition failed to get over the five percent threshold needed for party representation, the exit poll and preliminary results showed.
