UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said the conflict in Syria is now a proxy war instead of a civil war and called on the sponsors of the Syrian regime to bring Assad back to the negotiating table. Russian opposition claims election was not free and fair

Former prime minister and Russian opposition leader of the Parnas party, Mikhail Kasyanov, has claimed that the vote in the parliamentary elections was not a free and fair vote. Russias liberal opposition failed to get over the five percent threshold needed for party representation, the exit poll and preliminary results showed.
