Harsh Vardhan's remark on sex education draws varied reactions

New Delhi, June 27 (ANI): Health Minister Harsh Vardhan's remark on sex education pour in varied reactions after he said that instead of using condoms, people should use moral values and demanded ban on sexual education in schools. BJP leader Prabhat Jha and DUSU President Aman Awana supported the stance and said that sex education is not necessary. Congress leader Manish Tewari condemned the same and said that the thought process comes from some other generation and is backward. CPI leader Annie Raja said that such statement can increase sexual violence cases. Former DUTA President Aditya Narayan Mishra also condemned this 'closed mindset'. Congress supporters stage sit-in over Vyapam scam in Bhopal

Bhopal, June 26 (ANI): Congress supporters staged a sit-in protest accusing leaders of the ruling BJP being involved in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam scam. Congress workers demanded a probe to be conducted by the CBI on the scam. Meanwhile, student body, National Student's Union of India also protested against the scam. Congress leader Satyadev Katare also accused Madhya Pradesh Chief Shivraj Singh Chouhan of being involved in the employment scam. He showed documents of the Public Service Commission Examinations to prove that Chouhan's niece was appointed as Deputy Collector by illegal means and also said that the former had changed rules to destroy evidence of irregularities. Women in Manipur become self-reliant by making use of water hyacinth

Manipur, June 25 (ANI): Kharibam Sarju Chanu, a resident of Thongju village in Imphal East district launched Water Hyacinth Crafts Centre, a self-help group, last year. She now provides employment to local women, who produce handicraft items with the use of Water Hyacinth, locally known as Kabowkang, an easily available aquatic weed. Sarju received craft training under a skill development programme organized by the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFI).
