China: 4 killed as Typhoon Mujigae wreaks havoc

Typhoon Mujigae, the 22nd typhoon of the year, has wreaked havoc on south China, killing at least four people in Guangdong Province. The typhoon, bringing gales and downpours, made landfall in the coastal city of Zhanjiang in Guangdong Province at 2.00pm on 4 October, packing winds of up to 111mph. Oct 5, 2015

Peru: St Francis Day sees annual blessing of animals

It was a musical symphony of animal noises outside St Francis Church in Lima, Peru where parrots, dogs, rabbits and hamsters gathered with their owners in tow for the annual blessing of the animals on 4 October.
