Protesters rally, get arrested on Fight for 15 national day of disruption

The minimum wage advocacy group known as the Fight for 15—as in a $15 minimum wage—called for a “national day of disruption” in 340 cities across 29 states and the District of Columbia on Tuesday, 29 November, in which home care, childcare, fast food and airport workers simply stopped working. California town covered in thick foam after fault in airports fire system

Santa Clara in California was covered in thick foam on Friday 18 November. The foam was seeping out of a hangar at the airport.It was up two metres thick and covered roads and cars nearby. Following the election of Donald Trump as the new president of the United States mostly peaceful protests have taken place for the third night in a row. However, violence erupted during a march in Portland, leading to several people being arrested.Speaking at a press conference the following day, Portland Mayor Charlie Hales condemned the violent clashes of anarchist protesters with police.
