Women's wing of AAP organises bike rally as a show of strength in Krishna Nagar

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): In a show of strength, the women's wing of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organised a bike rally in New Delhi on Wednesday, ahead of assembly elections in the city. This bike rally was organised in Krishna Nagar, the constituency from where the chief ministerial candidate of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kiran Bedi, is contesting elections. Delhi goes to polls on February 7 for the second time in 14 months after AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal pulled plugs on his government supported by Congress party barely 49 days into office last February. AAP supporters from across the country converged in the capital to take part in the rally. Bollywood actress and member of AAP from Chandigarh city, Gul Panag, led the rally riding her trademark Bullet bike, wearing a red jacket. Kiran Bedi breaks down at Krishna Nagar rally, says overwhelmed by people's love

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Wednesday broke down during her roadshow in Krishna Nagar constituency, from where she is contesting her first ever election. The former IPS officer was seen taking off her glasses and wiping tears with a handkerchief. Bedi said that she is overwhelmed by the affection she has received from people and promised to return their love by serving them. Krishna Nagar constituency is being seen as BJP's stronghold in the upcoming Delhi assembly poll. The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7. Bedi tweeted saying, "What's wrong with losers? My Krishna Nagar Constituency office owner is receiving life threats and bomb to be placed in his office.. The owner of the building of our Krishna Nagar Constituency being threatened and being told to get us to vacate the office since last night." Meanwhile, the office landlord Suman Bindal said that he and his son has got at least 40 calls from different numbers threatening that there was a bomb in the building. Reactions pour in as RSS journal admits that worried BJP chose Kiran Bedi

New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Reactions come in from political parties on Tuesday after RSS mouthpiece Organiser said that the BJP is not 'in a comfortable ground at present' in Delhi, and that the party had inducted Kiran Bedi and projected her as candidate for chief minister after receiving 'adverse feedback from field against the Delhi BJP'. BJP leaders said that the RSS has its own point of view and that the BJP does not comply by the same. AAP leader Kumar Vishwas said that the only effect of Bedi in the party is that her poll campaign manager resigned accusing her of dictatorship.
