New Delhi/ Lucknow, May 23 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa refused to attend PM designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony if Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa is invited. Congress leaders Meem Afzal and Akhilesh Pratap Singh reacted to the same. Meem Afzal said that BJP's decision has been opposed by the NDA supporters themselves which should be answered by BJP. DMK attacks Jayalalitha over sacking four district secretaries

Chennai, May 21 (ANI): DMK leader TKS Elangovan said the state chief and supremo of regional AIADMK J Jayalalitha is making mockery of democracy after the latter sacked four district secretaries in charge of three constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Spokesperson of DMK, Elangovan said on Tuesday (May 20) that such actions display total failure of governance in the province. The district secretaries shunted out were of Dharmapuri, Kanyakumari and Thiruvallur where the party couldn’t win. Meanwhile, hitting at Jayalalithaa over misgovernance, Elangovan said that the AIADMK government had done minimal developmental work in the state. May 21, 2014
