Afghan Special Forces regain control of Kabul hotel after gunmen attack

Afghan Special Forces moved through Kabuls Intercontinental Hotel floor by floor on January 21, fighting the surviving gunmen who attacked the hotel a day earlier, seizing hostages and staging an overnight siege. Najib Danish, an interior ministry spokesman, said at least six civilians had been killed and three gunmen killed, which came days after a US embassy warning of possible attacks on hotels in Kabul.
