Prashant Bhushan refuses to reveal whistleblower's name to SC in Ranjit Sinha's case

New Delhi, Sep 18 (ANI): Lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Thursday said that the Supreme Court had asked him to reveal the whistleblower's name in case against CBI Chief Ranjit Sinha, to which he refused to do so. Bhushan said that in a meeting of Centre of Public Interest Litigation, it was decided that the whistleblower's name shall not be revealed citing danger to his life as also seen in previous cases. The Court had asked Bhushan to disclose the name of the whistleblower that had passed information regarding the file book of CBI on basis of which the case was filed. Sep 18, 2014

BJP slams Congress for publishing booklet on Modi Govt's 100 days

Xi Jinping pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat

New Delhi, Sep 18 (ANI): Chinese President Xi Jinping paid homage at the mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi on Thursday (September 18) followed by his wife Peng Liyuan. Xi Jinping was accompanied by HRD Minister Smriti Irani to the Rajghat where he laid a wreath at Gandhi's memorial. He then wrote a few words in the guest book at Rajghat and was presented with a few books on Mahatma Gandhi along with a model of 'charkha'. Jinping is on a three day visit to India which started with his arrival in Ahmedabad on September 17. China and India have signed three agreements to boost trade and set up an industrial park.
