Nissan unveils taxi convenient for disabled persons

Hong Kong/ Tokyo, Dec 23 (ANI): Taxis are convenient daily transportation for the citizens in Hong Kong. About 18,000 taxis operating in the city are sedan type of vehicles having limited trunk space. This makes difficult for the wheelchair users. Nissan Motor recently unveiled a new generation of Taxi for Hong Kong. It offers an innovative functional cabin that unites comfort with hospitality. The New taxi offers barrier-free access to the users realized by the universal design layout. Wheelchair users may benefit from the new concept who can easily roll on and off the taxi through the back door using an attached slope. The new taxi is based on the Nissan NV200, a multi-purpose commercial vehicle that is sold throughout the world. More than 750 units are already operating in Japan, recently launched in New York City and EV model in Barcelona as the next-generation Taxi. The NV200 taxi is powered by both gasoline and LPG. This bi-fuel system is common in Europe and comes to Hong Kong for the first time. The new bi-fuel system is economical and reduces approximately 80 percent of NOx from the emission compared to conventional mono-fuel LPG models. Young Entrepreneurs in Manipur generate employment for locals

Manipur, Dec 22 (ANI): After obtaining his master's degree in Social Work from Maharashtra, Aaron Pam Shang returned back to his village in Imphal West and established Sharon industries in 2010. He produces a wide range of products including phenyl, dish wash, cleaning detergents and herbal disinfectants and even supply raw material to local self-help groups to generate employment. The aim was to generate employment for the youth. Aaron markets his products in Manipur and has achieved a monthly turnover of Rs. 10 lakh. He has set-up an outlet in Nagampal and sells raw material to SHGs and others. At present, eight workers are employed in the factory. With the decline in insurgency, many educated youth from Manipur are setting up businesses in their villages and towns.
