Bajrang Dal introduces 'bahu lao-beti bachao' after VHP's 'ghar wapsi', Politicos condemn

New Delhi/ Agra, Dec 27 (ANI): Politicos condemned Bajrang Dal on Saturday as the group introduced 'bahu lao-beti bachao' campaign. Notwithstanding the controversy generated over the 'love jihad' and 'ghar wapsi', Bajrang Dal has announced 'bahu lao-beti bachao' campaign in Uttar Pradesh. Bajrang Dal state convenor Ajju Chauhan said that the "bahu lao-beti bachao" campaign will be a reply to "love jihad" and will seek to bring girls from Muslim or Christian communities as daughters-in-laws for Hindu families. Congress leader Rashid Alvi and SP's Naresh Agrawal condemned the central government and said that they have fallen short of issues and therefore are now trying to deviate from the topics. JD (U) leader KC Tyagi also slammed Modi government. Former SP leader Kamal Faruqui, however, said that these issues are making the promises of the prime minister faded thing. Dec 27, 2014

Mumbai 'Dabbawalas' join PM's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'

New Delhi/ Chennai/ Mumbai/ Varanasi, Dec 26 (ANI): The lunch box delivery men of Mumbai or 'dabbawalas' as they are called, hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for nominating them to join Clean Indian Mission. The dabbawalas are city's lifeline as the team of around 5000 people supply food to around 200,000 office goers every day. They carry hot food in lunch boxes from the houses of Mumbai residents late in the morning and deliver them at their workplace. The dabbawalas said they are honoured with the nomination and would do their best to ensure cleanliness around. Two years after Nirbhaya case women feel country has still not learnt a lesson

Shimla/ Chandigarh, Dec 14 (ANI): Almost two years after the gruesome rape of a 23 year old woman in the capital led to amendment of the laws for prosecution of rapists, women in other parts of the country say they don't feel that things have changed for the better. A resident of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, Phalma Chauhan, said that she felt that since the Nirbhaya incident things had only gotten worse. However, Deputy General of Police, Himachal Pradesh, Sanjay Kumar did not seem to be in agreement with the girls. Since the Nirbhaya case, a number of shocking incidents have come to light, most recently the Uber rape case.
