Hyderabad, March 01 (ANI): Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday said that the central government will fulfill the promises that were made to Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. He added that it will be wrong to say that Andhra Pradesh did not get sufficient budget. He further said that considering both Finance Commission and Budget Allocation, Andhra Pradesh has got sufficient budget. New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday said that Rail Budget 2015-2016 aims to better the railway system in the country and not to appease other political parties. He said that a strong and efficient railway can lead to growth of the nation and not vice versa. He said this while addressing mediapersons after presenting the budget in Parliament. Prabhu said that the budget has kept in mind various expectations of the common man and can be a termed as a common man budget. He also said that the NDA government being a government of farmers has special provisions for them too in the rail budget. The railway minister further said that the money for different projects mentioned in the budget will come from extra budgetary sources and that the government is talking to World Bank, Asian Development Bank, etc. over the same. Farmers hopeful for more funds, adequate security to crops in Budget 2015-2016

Rajouri, Feb 25 (ANI): Indian farmers are pinning hopes on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley when he presents the central budget for 2015-2016. They want more allocation of funds, adequate insurance to their crops, mainly dependent on the vagaries of unpredictable climate. India is primarily an agrarian economy with about 70 percent of the population working in fields. Farmers in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir say the successive governments have taken some policy decisions to improve the farm output, but the benefits have failed to trickle down at the lower level. Area Development Officer (Vegetable) in Rajouri, Sadaqat Hussain who has been working with the farmers to help improve their output and sharing government initiatives with them rules the fact that the government policies have not yielded much. Coal Scam: Special Court grants bail to ex Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda, 7 others

New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda was granted bail on Wednesday by a Special Court in coal blocks allocation scam case despite opposition from the CBI. Earlier in the morning, the CBI had opposed the bail pleas of Madhu Koda and seven others alleging that they have conspired and abused their position to favor accused firm Vini Iron and Steel Udyog Ltd in allocation of a coal block.
