His Eid release Kick opposite Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez has collected a whopping Rs 83.83 crore in its opening weekend. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh said the weekend collection of Kick was spectacular. He tweeted: #Kick has a HUMONGOUS Day 3. Collects 30.18 croreon Sunday, thus crossing 83 crore mark in its opening weekend. WOW! But the movie just missed bagging the much coveted 100 crore mark in opening weekend, a feat earlier achieved by his movie Ek Tha Tiger. While Ek Tha Tiger entered the Rs 100 crore club on its first weekend, Bodyguard earned Rs 88 crore. Kick has become the highest opening day grossing film of 2014. Radio controlled car racing gearing popularity in Tamil Nadu

Coimbatore, July 29 (ANI): Radio controlled car racing, which is quite common across other Asian countries, is also gearing up popularity in Tamil Nadu. The first, popularly known as RC (radio controlled) national racing car event, was organized by Radio Controlled Car Association along with Kovai Modelers club at the racing club in Coimbatore. One of the winners of the Radio Control car race, Murali Kannadasan, said that these are unusual cars which runs on methanol and jump through different tracks. Radio car racing is very popular in China, Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan. Event organizer, Raj Kumar, said that the race is popular in many other countries except India, where there is a dearth of racing tracks. Jul 29, 2014
